Port Gawler - Kimba - 435 kms

We spent Thursday in Adelaide at the Cummins/Onan head office in Pooraka - the generator hadn't been running properly for a while and I also wanted to get replacement house batteries. If anyone is needing work done on their Onan generator I'd highly recommend this site. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them - we even scored a free barbeque lunch. Because they are the head office for Onan they have all the parts on site so things are quickly and easily replaced and the pricing was very fair.

After leaving there we continued on westwards, freecamping overnight at Port Gawler - a very pretty spot right on the water. Obviously a popular fishing spot as well as there were 5 people there by 7am in the morning.

When I asked if the fishing was good this young man showed me his prize catch! Although I did see someone over the otherside land a fish about 30cm long.

Had a good drive today, stopping at Port Agusta to stock up on some groceries, fill the fuel tank (diesel $1.68 here, was $1.65 in Adelaide). Tonight we're in a caravan park at Mindi (says it's halfway across Australia) $19 per night, drive through sites, clean facilities, Top Tourist Park, allows dogs.
